Not sure I dig this vision of Godzilla’s Predator eyes, but otherwise-god damn it, I’ll just have to wait patiently until we can stream movies from alternate dimensions.

What could have been: Stan Winston’s maquette for the abandoned Godzilla project that would have seen Godzilla as the alien-engineered Defender of Earth battling a mutating alien monster called the Gryphon that was basically a stand-in for King Ghidorah so they wouldn’t have to pay for the rights. So we were denied the chance to see Stan Winston’s Godzilla fighting another Stan Winston creation.

Fans, commence your seething.

If that plot sounds weirdly familiar, by the by, it’s probably because Gamera: Guardian of the Universe would use almost the exact same concept around this time. Great minds think alike, I suppose.
